This week was great!
The highlight of the week was definitely the baptism of Jardel! He is honestly one of the funniest people I’ve met. It has been awesome to work with him over the past month and see him progress so much. He will make an AWESOME missionary one day.
We are super excited about the people we are working with now. In the picture of me and Jardel there’s another investigator named Juan. He’s 14 and in the first lesson with him he asked us what he needs to do to be missionaries like us! He is soooo prepared. It is also a pleasure to be able to meet with him.
We are also teaching 3 families that are super awesome! André has almost finished the Book of Mormon in only a week! He only has a few chapters left. but he doesn’t want to committ to baptism.. but I know he will! He knows so much of the Bible and already has a testemony of the Book of Mormon. His wife is awesome too but she is always working and so its hard to meet with them together.
One of the other families is Emanuele and Caué and Dafany. Emanuele is a single mom and is also super prepared! Yesterday she even asked us how her baptism is going to be! How cool is that?! They also have a bird, the name in portuguese is papagai but I don’t know how you call it in english. Well its one of the birds that talk. He dances too! Dafany (who is five) sings and then the bird dances to her voice! It’s soooo funny to see. Apparently one time Caué (whos 13) scared the bird and then the bird said (I dont know how to translate this very well) “leave here ugly animal” hahaha also one time a bald man came into their house and the bird called him bald hahahaah. I literally need one of these birds.
I am loving it here! It’s awesome to be able to see the work start to progress more as we are giving it our all. I know the Lord is helping us and our investigators every step of the way!
I hope all is well with you guys! Miss you all!
